An exceptionally powerful source of power for the outdoors and the home

The Explorer 1500 is one of the most powerful models in Jackery’s hugely popular range of portable power stations. With up to 1800W and a 1534Wh battery capacity, you can power many more devices including larger appliances such as electric stoves, electric microwave ovens, air-conditioners, and refrigerators.

Jackery specialize in the design of portable power stations for serious campers and outdoor enthusiasts who need a relatively compact independent power source that can easily handle a diverse number of appliances.

Their equipment also finds a valuable place in the home where alternative power sources are becoming more and more essential to provide vital and reliable energy during a power outage or other emergency, and the Explorer 1500 is regarded by many owners as one of the best you can buy.

Compact and portable

Weighing a little over 35lbs and measuring 14 x 10.4 x 12.7 inches, this is quite a heavy unit, but with its hallmark balanced handle it’s fairly easy to move from place to place. Weight is kept down by the use of standard lithium batteries as opposed to the heavier, but newer, LiFe models.

Recharging the Jackery Explorer 1500

The Explorer 1500 has various ways of recharging – (1) AC wall socket, (2) solar panel(s), (3) your car’s 12V cigarette lighter-type socket, and (4) connected to a portable generator.

It can leverage an array of up to four recommended solar panels (- Jackery SolarSaga 100 solar panels – paid link). These highly efficient panels have a built-in MPPT controller to ensure they produce the maximum output, and in the right conditions can provide you with almost limitless power. And though four such panels and the appropriate adapters will set you back a lot, Jackery say they allow you in the right conditions to charge the device in an impressive time of 5 hours.

Maintenance-free operation delivering clean emission-free power

The great thing about portable power stations is that they deliver clean power outputs from their long-lasting maintenance-free lithium-ion battery packs, making them safe for sensitive electronics and free from harmful emissions such as carbon monoxide and noise. You also don’t have to worry about storing fuel, which presents all sorts of dangers and, in some cases, needs local government approval.

Multiple Charging Ports

Four methods from which you can choose to recharge the Explorer 1500, from an AC wall out, solar panel(s), the car’s 12V outlet, to a portable generator.
