Jackery is possibly the most popular brand of portable power station currently on the market, and this model is one that people like a lot, particularly as it won't break the bank. In fact, given this, plus its robust and compact nature, it's an ideal independent power source to have at home as well as for taking outdoors and engaging in all kinds of simple outdoor activities.

This entry-level portable power station has a 240Wh lithium-ion battery pack which delivers 200W of continuous power and 400W of momentary peak power. This is great for small items such as phones, tablets, drones, laptops and the sort of think you may have with you when out on the trail. But bear in mind that these power outputs aren't designed to support devices such as an electric grill, microwave or a refrigerator, which demand a lot more wattage.
Recharging
Like the bigger models in Jackery's range of portable power stations, the Explorer 240 can be charged using an AC wall socket, a solar panel, or by your car.
The recommended solar panel is the Jakery SolarSaga 60 solar panel, which has a built-in MPPT controller to produce the maximum output and recharge the power station in the most efficient way possible.

Probably not. According to TSA regulations, Li-ion batteries over 100Wh may or may not be allowed on your carry-on. Best ask your airline or local TSA for a definitive answer.
Can I use the power station while it is on charge?
Yes, it outputs power even when the unit is being charged. But bear in mind that the recharging time of the unit itself will be considerably lengthened.
Is the battery user-replaceable?
No, you should not attempt to replace the battery. Trying to do so during could damage the unit and void any outstanding warranty.
Is the unit really silent?
The unit has a cooling fan that operates when necessary to ensure the power station remains within its operating parameters. It is only audible when standing close by.
